JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
The incumbent is responsible for monitoring all activities from a centralized control room relating to activities in and around all premises. The incumbent is mainly responsible for operating and maintaining surveillance equipment, watching both live and recorded video surveillance footage, reporting incidents or suspicious behavior and contacting the authorities when necessary. The incumbent can be employed at hospitals, airports, schools, housing complexes, gated communities, malls, and many other types of establishments.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that the Security Operation runs strictly and accordingly to the prescribed security standards
- Initial registration, investigation, and conclusion of incidents & or accidents reported.
- Ensure all registers in place in CCTV is up to date and all equipment in excellent working order. Maintaining Logbooks, access control and key control.
- Screen Monitoring, Tape/Media Management / Incident reporting.
- Liaise with the police and other monitored radio networks.
- Have a thorough understanding of the equipment they’re working with. Tasked with deleting or archiving old footage as needed, organizing old footage in an orderly fashion, and switching out videotapes, compact discs, memory cards, hard drives, or servers.
- Simply knowing how to operate video surveillance equipment is not all there is to being a CCTV Operator. Additionally, CCTV Operators must also be able to maintain and repair that same equipment, whether it’s analogue or digital.
- Watch surveillance, make observations, store footage and report incidents.
QUALIFICIATON
- Secondary education
- Must be a certified CCTV Operator awarded by certificated training institute in the UAE.
- Military or Police Background desirable.
- Must be medium built, mentally, and physically fit.
- Must have a valid first aid certificate awarded by a certified training institute in the UAE.
- Good command of the English language both verbal and written. Knowledge of Arabic and other languages desirable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Able to read, write and speak English.
- Knowledge of pool equipment & maintenance.
- Knowledge of lifesaving methods and procedures, including first aid and standard resuscitation measures.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Skilled in application of lifesaving techniques.
- Ability to quickly identify patterns and abnormalities.
- Ability to act quickly and calmly in emergencies.
- Knowledge of the surveillance system
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently.
